Weis Manufacturing was born out of Brooklyn, New York—one of the fastest, most relentless cities in the world, where bicycles are not just transportation, but a way of working and living.

Built from real messenger experience, Weis frames are designed for constant movement—speed without stopping, function over decoration, and performance shaped by the street itself.

Weis is not about racing alone, nor is it about fashion.It exists as a tool for moving fast through the city.

More than a product, it is a culture—one that moves with people, across cities, and into new scenes.This Japan tour is an extension of that movement.

そのリアルな現場から生まれたのがWeis Manufacturingだ。

メッセンジャーとして街を走る経験から設計されたフレームは、止まらないスピードと実用性を前提としている。

Weisは競技でもファッションでもない。街を速く走るための道具として存在している。

そしてそれは単なるプロダクトではなく、都市から都市へと広がるカルチャーでもある。今回の来日は、その延長線上にある。

LOGAN SHOLMIRE

Logan Sholmire is a painter and brand director based in New York City, working out of Brooklyn with Weis Manufacturing.

At Weis, he is responsible for paint, anodizing, cerakote, and surface finishing, as well as contributing to the brand’s overall visual direction. His role is not limited to finishing frames—he is involved in how each bike is presented and perceived.

He works in the same environment as New York’s messenger and fixed gear scene, where alleycat races, daily riding, and street-based cycling culture are part of everyday life. His work is produced within that context.

Logan’s background in painting comes from outside the bicycle industry. He grew up in Louisiana and later moved to New York, where he developed his practice while working within a studio environment connected to bike culture.

His approach to finishing frames is practical. Instead of removing damage such as dents or scratches, he often leaves them visible and paints over them. This reflects how the bikes are actually used—ridden daily, exposed to impact, and not treated as display-only objects.

He also worked on the paint and visual direction for Weis Factory Racing, extending his role beyond individual frames into team-level identity.

In addition to his work, Logan rides fixed gear bikes in New York. His setup is based on practical components used for daily riding rather than show builds.

Logan Sholmire is not positioned as a traditional frame builder.He is part of the production, visual identity, and day-to-day culture surrounding Weis Manufacturing in New York.

Weisのビジュアルを担う人物のひとりが、Logan Sholmireだ。

ニューヨーク・ブルックリンを拠点に活動するペインターであり、ブランドディレクター。

Weisでは塗装、陽極処理、セラコートなどの仕上げ工程を担当しながら、ブランド全体のビジュアルにも関わっている。単なる塗装担当ではなく、フレームの見え方や方向性にも関与している。

活動している環境は、ニューヨークのメッセンジャーやフィックスドギアシーンと地続きの場所にある。アレイキャットや日常的なライディングが存在する現場の中で制作が行われている。

もともとは自転車業界ではなくペインティングをバックグラウンドに持ち、ルイジアナで育った後にニューヨークへ移り活動を始めた。

彼の仕上げの特徴として、フレームの傷や凹みを完全に消さず、その上から塗装することがある。これは実際に使われる自転車の状態をそのまま残すための方法でもある。

また、Weis Factory Racingのペイントやビジュアルにも関わっており、個体単位だけでなくチーム単位の表現にも関与している。

本人もニューヨークで固定ギアバイクに乗っており、実用的なパーツ構成で日常的に使用している。

Logan Sholmireはフレームビルダーではなく、Weisの製作・ビジュアル・現場に関わる実務的なポジションにある人物だ。

On March 27, MessCrib Tokyo will host the pre-release of “Timestamp,” a new work by Logan Sholmire.

“Timestamp” is a raw and unfiltered documentation of his life beyond the paint booth.

Across 36 pages of photography, it captures both his Louisiana roots and his life shaped in New York.

This is not just a photo book—it is a document of perspective, showing the world exactly as he sees it.

3月27日（金）、MessCrib TokyoにてLoganによる作品「Timestamp」の先行リリースが行われる。

Timestamp」は、ペイントブースの外にある彼の人生を切り取った、ありのままで生々しい記録。全36ページの写真を通して、ルイジアナの湿地帯で育った背景とニューヨークの街の縁で形作られた、彼の個人的でフィルターのかかっていない視点が表現されている。 Mess Crib Tokyo

WEIS JAPAN TOUR 2026

Following the release, Weis will travel across Japan—Tokyo, Nagoya, and Osaka—bringing pop-ups, group rides, and community-driven events to each city.

Rather than simply showcasing products, the tour is about connecting directly with local riders and scenes.

The journey will culminate in CRANK—a criterium race alongside a bike show and car show—organized by Boost Doi.

リリースを皮切りに、Weisは東京・名古屋・大阪を巡るツアーへと入る。

ポップアップやグループライドを通して、各都市のローカルと直接接続していく。

単なる販売ではなく、コミュニティと交わることが目的のツアーだ。

最終的にはBoost DoiによるCRANKへと繋がり、レースとカルチャーが交差する場へと収束する。

What Weis does is simple.

They take the sensibility shaped on the streets of New York and bring it directly into other cities.

When that meets local scenes in Tokyo, Nagoya, and Osaka, it transforms into something new.
