Where Bicycles and Graffiti Cross Paths Again in Bangkok

バンコクで再び交差した、自転車とグラフィティ

Last week, an interesting development occurred in Bangkok, a city with year-round heat and chaotic traffic.

Bicycleboys, a bicycle shop located on Bangkok's first street, brought art to bicycles once again. This time, they collaborated with Crasty, a graffiti artist from Tokyo, and were joined by friends like Alexface, Misterbows, and LeoTMC.

The highlight was the GT GTB Track frame, an iconic track bike frame produced in the late 1990s, paired with a WoundUp Fork. It was spray-painted and designed by Crasty, Alexface, Misterbows, and LeoTMC, creating a perfect blend of bicycle and art.

Crasty is a graffiti artist who, in the early 2000s, worked at the streetwear shop Real Mad Hectic in Harajuku. Afterward, he moved to New York and joined BK Warehouse, a hub for graffiti artists and street fashion. Crasty often cycles around the city for inspiration and art creation. Skateboarding and cycling have greatly influenced him, and he often focuses on his surroundings: people, atmosphere, and the city itself. These elements were transformed into a masterpiece.

The Crasty x Bicycleboys exhibition runs from today until May 31, 2026.

一年を通して暑さが続き、混沌とした交通が広がる街、バンコク。先週、その街で興味深い出来事が起こった。

バンコクの“最初の通り”に店を構えるバイシクルショップ Bicycleboys が、再び自転車にアートを持ち込んだ。今回彼らがコラボレーションしたのは、東京を拠点に活動するグラフィティアーティスト Crasty。さらに、Alexface、Misterbows、LeoTMC といった仲間たちも参加した。

今回のハイライトは、1990年代後半に生産されたアイコニックなトラックバイクフレーム GT GTB Track frame。そこに WoundUp Fork を組み合わせた一台だ。

Crasty、Alexface、Misterbows、LeoTMCによってスプレーペイントとデザインが施されたそのバイクは、自転車とアートが完璧に混ざり合った作品となった。

Crastyは、2000年代初頭に原宿のストリートウェアショップ Real Mad Hectic で働いていたグラフィティアーティスト。その後ニューヨークへ渡り、グラフィティアーティストやストリートファッションの拠点でもあった BK Warehouse に参加した。

彼は日常的に街を自転車で走りながら、インスピレーションを得て作品制作へとつなげている。スケートボードや自転車は、彼に大きな影響を与えてきた存在だ。

Crastyが見つめているのは、いつも自分の周囲にあるもの。人、空気、街そのもの。

それらの要素が今回、ひとつのマスターピースとして形になった。
